Research Interests

Andrea's main research interests lie in the field of competition law. While at NUS, Andrea will be working on a project with the working title 'Public service provision and competition law in ASEAN countries'. In the past she has been researching EU law, especially EU competition law and economic and social integration in Europe and beyond. She has published and presented her work in this area and is a member of the UACES European Research Area Collaborative Research Network (ERA CRN) since 2013.

Brief Biodata

Andrea is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Law & Business for which she has suspended her position as lecturer in law at the University of Liverpool. In 2014 she received her PhD from the University of Leeds having passed the viva for her thesis on 'Higher Education Institutions under EU Law Constraints' without corrections. During her time as PhD researcher she has also taught at the University of Leeds and worked on various research projects (e.g. for the EU funded project 'European economic and social constitutionalism after the Treaty of Lisbon' or for the project 'The European Union and Global Financial Regulation'). Before starting her PhD, Andrea worked for the Carl von Ossietzky Universitšt Oldenburg, for the Secretariat General of the German section of Amnesty International and for the German Development Service (now German Agency for International Cooperation, GIZ) at the Badan Pendidikan dan Pelatihan NTT, Indonesia.
