18-20 April 2007 – Assoc Prof L H Lye presented a keynote paper “Environmental Taxation in the Regulation of Traffic and the Control of Pollution in Singapore“ at the 4th Meeting of the Asia Tax Forum, Hanoi, Vietnam.

 
20 Feb to 3 March 2007 – Assoc Prof L H Lye was appointed Visiting Associate Professor at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, where she taught a course on Comparative Environmental Law with Visiting Professor Nicholas A. Robinson, Gilbert & Sarah Kerlin Professor of Environmental Law, Pace University School of Law, New York, USA; former Chair, IUCN Commission on Environmental Law.

Prof KL Koh presented a paper " Implementation, Compliance and Enforcement of Environmental Law: the ASEAN Experience" and Assoc Prof LH Lye presented a paper "A Fine City in a Garden - A Study of Environmental Governance in Singapore."
 

APCEL co-organized a seminar with SAL, SEI and MEM for Prof Nick Robinson “Critical Issues in Environmental Law: Serving the Public and the Common Good” and he also gave a talk at a closed door session to the Chief Justice and the Judges of the Supreme Court, 2 August 2006, Singapore.

 

11 Sept 2006 – Assoc Prof L H Lye taught a seminar “Environmental Public Health Laws in Singapore” to graduate students in the NUS Yong Loo Lin Medical School’s M. Med. (Public Health) & M. Med. (Occupational Medicine) programmes.

Prof KL Koh presented a keynote paper entitled “Animal and Human Health: Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development: A Case Study on Avian Flu and SARS”, 10 – 16 July, Sydney.

Assoc Prof LH Lye presented a paper entitled "The Implementation of the CBD - Regulation of Access to Biological Resources and Benefit-Sharing in Singapore, Sarawak (Malaysia) and the Philippines" and

Asst. Prof B Ong presented a paper entitled: "Biotechnological Innovations, Genetic Resources and Traditional Knowledge: Current Developments at the World Intellectual Property Organisation". They attended meetings of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law.

Prof KL Koh was invited by University of Mexico to give a series of lectures on environmental law (pro bono) from 24 - 30 May 2005.
