Return to Bukit Timah
On 17 July 2006, the NUS Faculty of Law moved back to the Bukit Timah
Campus – our original home when we were part of the NUS’s predecessor
institutions, the University of Malaya and the University of Singapore.
The Faculty had its home in Bukit Timah from its early inception in 1956
as a Department of Law in the then University of Malaya. The Department
attained Faculty status in 1959, with its pioneer batch of students
graduating in 1961. In the early 1980s, the Faculty moved to Kent Ridge
as part of the National University of Singapore. More than two decades
later, we are, once again, home in Bukit Timah.
