Doug Walter has spent more than 25 years in the Fair Trading/Consumer Affairs field sustaining a passion for this discipline that goes beyond a job and has become a total commitment

As a Senior Executive Doug advised Government on Fair Trading policy, organisational structure and the development and implementation of Fair Trading legislation. He has won national awards for Call Centre design and management and has written, trained and lectured widely on Fair Trading. More recently Doug has undertaken work as a consultant and trainer in the organisational review, project management, process re engineering and Business Excellence area.

Doug was the architect of the Dispute Avoidance Strategy that changed thinking about market place management in Government and business. Largely through his work teaching the business community about how to implement the Strategy, the level of consumer market place problems fell dramatically.

He has been consultant to the Consumers Association of Singapore for the past 7 years helping develop proposals for a Fair Trading Act.
