About the Seminar

The introduction of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Bill is a major
development in consumer laws in Singapore. When fully implemented, it will
significantly impact the way businesses are to be conducted. Businesses,
consultants and lawyers would have to work within the framework to deal
with disputes that arise and fall within the scope of the Bill.
The seminar will trace developments in Fair Trading in Singapore and
analyse the provisions of the Bill in greater detail. As the fair trading
regime is new to Singapore, two speakers from Canada have been invited to
speak on similar legal developments in Canada that would be useful in
interpreting and applying the proposed legislation in Singapore.
Learn About:
- The impact of the Fair Trading legislation on your business
- The provisions of the Fair Trading Bill and how to deal with the
potential pitfalls of the legislation
- The developments in countries that have implemented the legislation from
foreign practitioners
