The NUS Faculty of Law presents the

BAR/BRI NEW YORK BAR REVIEW COURSE

23 Saturday sessions commencing on 21 February 2009

As legal practice evolves from a domestic to a more globally-oriented arena, more local practitioners will aspire to gain the qualifications to practice abroad, especially in major cities like New York. In line with its strategy to develop itself into a regional hub for legal training and research, the Faculty of Law runs BAR/BRI's renowned New York Bar Review Course in Singapore. BAR/BRI is the leading provider of bar review courses in the United States. Of the 9 000 plus candidates who sit for the New York Bar Exam, close to 7 500 rely on BAR/BRI. Now in its fourth decade of preparing candidates for bar exams throughout the United States, BAR/BRI makes it easy to learn the law. The New York Bar Review Course will prepare students for the New York Bar Exam to be conducted in New York on 28 & 29 July 2008.

Enrollees in the New York Bar Review Course will receive:

  • Approximately 100 hours of lectures and workshops, conducted by BAR/BRI’s faculty via video-tape. Classes will be held on Saturdays (9.30am to 6.30 pm).
  • Lecture handouts that highlight the salient points of law and the most testable areas that appear on the bar exam.
  • Comprehensive and concise outlines of local and Multistate law updated by BAR/BRI’s faculty and editorial staff;
  • The Conviser Mini Review which condenses the local and Multistate volumes into hard-hitting capsule outlines;
  • The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam Volume and Review Lecture; and
  • Testing volumes with detailed preparatory answers to give students significant experience in dealing with the type of questions likely to appear on the bar exam.
