About Centre for Maritime Law

The Centre for Maritime Law (CML) at the NUS-Faculty of Law is a research centre established in consultation with Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) focusing on private maritime law.

Leveraging on Singapore's position as one of the world busiest port and reputation as a global maritime hub, the centre aims to be an industry leader for the research and development of maritime legal framework contributing to the needs of both the local and international maritime community.

The Centre for Maritime Law administers the Master of Laws (Maritime Law) and Graduate Diploma in Maritime Law and Arbitration (GDMLA) programmes and is headed by Professor Stephen Girvin and Associate Professor Paul Myburgh.
