Bursaries and other financial aid
All applications for Donated Bursaries should be made through the
Registrars’ Office. The application form and further details are

The Class of 1984 Bursary
At their 20th Anniversary reunion on 20 August 2004, the Law School
Class of 1984 established a Bursary for needy law students.
The seed money for the Bursary consisted of the remainder of the class
fund which has been held in trust by the Class treasurer for the last 20
years. The Bursary now stands at $12,000.
The Class of 1985 Bursary
The Law School Class of 1985 pooled their efforts to raise money for a
Bursary for needy students at their 20th Anniversary reunion on 20 May
2005.
At the reunion, they surprised the Dean with a big cheque for a record
$30,500 to establish the Class of 1985 Bursary. Thanks to their generous
contributions, the Class of 1985 Bursary now stands at $30,700.
The Class of 1995 Award
A unique award was created at the 10th Anniversary reunion of the Class
of 1995 on 23 April 2005.
The Class of 1995 Award aims to help fund law students’ attendance at
legal conferences and competitions.

Allen &
Overy, Shook Lin & Bok Scholarship
The Allen & Overy, Shook Lin & Bok Scholarship, formerly known as Shook
Lin & Bok Scholarship, was established in 1989 by Shook Lin & Bok LLP
with an initial donated of $30,000. Two scholarships are awarded each
year to 2nd and 3rd year Law undergraduates based on good academic
results.
C J Koh
Scholarship
The C J Koh Scholarship was established in 1997 from a donation of
$200,000 by the late Mr Koh Choon Joo, a retired lawyer. Scholarships
are awarded each year to Law undergraduates with excellent academic
results.
David Lim
& Partners Scholarship
The David Lim &
Partners Scholarship was established in 2000 by Messrs David Lim &
Partners to award an annual scholarship over a 10-year period for the
academic year 2000/01 to the best Law student in the study of Company
Law.
Rodyk &
Davidson Scholarship
The Rodyk & Davidson
Scholarship was established in 1987 by Messrs Rodyk & Davidson with an
initial donation of $100,000. Scholarships are awarded each year to
outstanding 4th year law undergraduates with the aim to promote legal
education in Singapore as well as a gesture of gratitude to the
University who has trained many of Rodyk & Davidson's partners and
solicitors.
These scholarships are
valued at $3000 and are tenable for one year. Current students who have
achieved a grade average of B+ are eligible to apply via the Financial
Aid and Scholarships Online Application System, from 1 March to 1 April
every year. The scholar has to sustain his excellent academic record in
order to be considered for the award.
