APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Application through OPAS
- Applications should be made through the International Relations Office (IRO) Overseas Programmes Application System (OPAS) at the web link https://aces01.nus.edu.sg/VOPSEP/Login.
- Please use your NUSNET ID (xxx@nus.edu.sg) as the USER ID (just key in xxx) and NUSNET password as PASSWORD.
- You can choose up to a maximum of 10 partner universities. Please rank in order of preference and select the length of exchange period accordingly.
- If you wish to opt for an exchange programme at a Chinese partner university, please ensure that you fulfill the prerequisite of a Grade B4 and above in Chinese (CL2) at GCE "AO" level OR Grade B4 and above in Higher Chinese (HCL or CL1) at GCE "O” level. You will also need to undergo an interview and if selected for exchange, read LL4009 Chinese Legal Tradition & Legal Chinese module in Semester 1 of Year 3. (Note: the exchange period for Chinese partner universities is in Semester 2).
- When applying through OPAS, law students are reminded that the minimum requirement of CAP = 3 is not applicable to them.
- The deadline for applications through OPAS is on Sunday, 30 November 2008, 2359hrs.

Submission of Referees’ Reports
- Referees’ reports are NOT required at the point of application through OPAS.
- However, please note that you may be required to submit referees’ reports for certain partner universities, which will be called for if you have been nominated and accept the offer.

Short List and Selection Criteria
- You will be informed if you have been short listed and may be required to attend an interview sometime between mid to end January 2009. Please ensure that you check your NUS email account on a regular basis.
- The selection criteria will be based on your academic grades in Year 1, Year 2 Semester 1 results. Your ECA records and personal statement will also be taken into account and, where necessary, your performance at the interview.

Other Information
- Law students are not allowed to apply to NUS Overseas Colleges for exchange.
