Brief Biodata

Chin Tet Yung has been in the Faculty since late 1975. He taught a variety of subjects ranging from the basic subjects such as Criminal Law, Jurisprudence, Evidence and Contract, to the newer subjects such as Computer Law and Information Technology Law. His current research interests are in Evidence and Procedure, and Information Technology Law. He was a member of the National Computer Board, and assisted the relevant Ministries and AG Chambers in drafting several info-tech based legislation, including the Computer Misuse Act. He was Dean of the NUS Law Faculty from 1992-2001. He is currently a Member of Parliament, and Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Home Affairs and Law.
