Brief Biodata
Kumaralingam Amirthalingam began his teaching career at the Australian National University in 1994 where he received his undergraduate and doctoral training in law, before joining the National University of Singapore Law School in 2000 where he is now a Professor and Vice Dean (International Programmes). In addition, he is also the Director of the Asian Law Institute. Professor Amirthalingam is on the International Editorial Boards of the Commonwealth Law Bulletin and the Journal of Law and Development. He has also served as a member of the International Advisory Board of the Sultan Qaboos College of Law, Oman. His research is primarily in the areas of criminal law and tort law, with a related interest in public law, human rights and international law.
