Brief Biodata
Leong Wai Kum was the first graduate of the newly established Faculty of Law, University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur to join the Faculty of Law, NUS, as lecturer. She also holds a postgraduate degree from Harvard University. She dedicates herself to the development of the family law in Singapore. She has written much on the subject. These are hyperlinked in the first law CD-ROM by a single author, entitled the Family Law Library of Singapore by Leong Wai Kum. Her other interest is to track the impact of law on women in Singapore. She co-managed the major local interdisciplinary research to establish the baselines that culminated in the Singapore Women: Three Decades of Change.
