Brief Biodata

Tan Seow Hon is interested in research in the area of legal philosophy, with a focus on natural law theory and critical legal studies. She graduated top of her class from NUS, obtained an LLM from Harvard, where she was a Landon Gammon Fellow, and an SJD, also from Harvard. During her doctoral studies, she was a Clark Byse Fellow at Harvard Law School and taught a seven-session graduate workshop titled, "Law and Morality: A Critical Examination of Natural Law Theory and its Relevance in a Pluralist World". Since joining the faculty, she has taught jurisprudence, conflict of laws, public law, company law, securities regulation, contract law, tort law and legal method. She is a winner of the NUS Teaching Excellence Award in 2005-2006 and 2007-2008.
