NUS performs well at Space Moot Finals

The NUS Space Moots Team, Joan Lim and Rakesh Kirpalani, won the Best Memorial and Joan Lim won the Best Oralist Prize in the World Finals of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition on 27 October 2005 in Fukuoka, Japan. The NUS Team had won the Asia Pacific Regional rounds in April 2005 and were sponsored by the JAXA, the Japanese Space Agency, to attend the World Finals. Winning the Best Memorial Prize meant that the NUS team had a direct entry to the World Finals. The North American Regional Winners, George Washington University, and the European Regional Winners, Cambridge University, fought it out in the Semi Finals before George Washington University won the right to plead in the Finals.
