Prof. Thio Li-ann & Siew Kum Hong ' 00 appointed Nominated Members of Parliament

The law school congratulates Prof. Thio Li-Ann, who has been appointed a Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) in the Republic's 11th Parliament. Li-ann is a constitutional law expert who teaches public law and human rights law at the Faculty. She is joined by our alumnus, Mr Siew Kum Hong '00, a legal counsel at a software MNC and regular columnist for the Today newspaper. Li-ann is the third NUS law faculty member to be appointed NMP, after Prof. Walter Woon '81 (8th Parliament, 1992-1996) and Assoc. Prof. Simon Tay '86 (9th Parliament, 1997-2001).
