Scholarships & Financial Assistance
Graduate Scholarship for ASEAN Nationals (NUS GSA)
Eligibility
The University offers these Scholarships each academic year to
citizens/permanent residents of a member country of ASEAN* (except
Singapore) to finance the pursuit of the LLM coursework degrees:

LLM (Corporate & Financial Services Law)

LLM (Intellectual Property & Technology Law)

LLM (International & Comparative Law)
Applicants must have all of the following:
- an excellent academic record (at least be in the top 10% of the class);
- a very good command of the English Language (minimum TOEFL score of 600 or IELTS result of 6.5);
- at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
Terms of award
There is no bond or obligation on the scholar to serve the University or in
Singapore. The scholar will be provided with:
- a monthly stipend of S$1350 throughout the period of the award (inclusive of the University’s vacations);
- a one-time book allowance of S$500;
- tuition, health insurance, examination fees, sports fee and other approved fees, allowances and expenses at NUS and throughout the period of the award;
- cost of economy travel directly from the home country to Singapore upon award of the scholarship; and
- cost of economy travel directly from Singapore to the home country upon successful completion of the course of study leading to the award of the degree.
The provisions do not cover any fees, expenses or costs borne by the
candidate prior to the award of the NUS GSA (e.g. application fee, fares or
expenses to attend any interview for admission).
Eligible and interested applicants can apply for the NUS GSA by completing
the relevant section in the application form for coursework programmes.
* ASEAN is the abbreviation of the Association of South East Asian Nations
and as at 1 May 1999, it comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos,
Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
