Research Scholarship 

Eligibility

Applicants must be university graduates with at least a second class honours (Upper Division) or its equivalent and have been admitted to or being assured of admission to our University’s full-time higher degree research programme leading to a LLM or PhD.

Terms of award

For Research Scholars in a Masters Programme, the monthly stipend is S$1,500. For Research Scholars in a PhD programme, monthly stipends for Singapore citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents and International Students are currently S$2,300, S$2,200 and S$2,000 respectively upon the scholar passing the Doctoral Candidate Qualifying Examination (DCQE). Prior to the DCQE, scholars in the PhD programme will receive S$1,500 monthly. No travel or other allowances are provided. No period of bond is required.

Research scholars may be asked to assist the Faculty in teaching and performing other tasks of an academic nature without any remuneration, for not more than 6 hours a week
