Description
One year on, what have we learnt about managing e-waste, food waste and packaging waste? Is Singapore on track towards becoming a zero-waste nation? Singapore’s Resource Sustainability Act was passed in Parliament on 4th September 2019. The Act seeks to target the three priority waste streams with high generation and low recycling rates: e-waste, food waste, and packaging waste. Next year, Producer Responsibility Schemes for ewaste, as well as new food waste regulations for new commercial and industrial developments, will come into force. Further regulations will come into force in 2024.
This webinar will feature practitioners in the field of resource sustainability. Their experiences will shed light on the challenges and opportunities in the implementation of the Act.
