Description
Southeast Asia’s path to a low-carbon future is shaped by rapid development, socio-economic inequality, institutional challenges, and climate vulnerability. As the region shifts from carbon-intensive models, the concept of a Just Transition—pursuing climate goals fairly and inclusively—has gained urgency. Yet what is “just” varies by context, requiring locally tailored approaches.
In response, APCEL brings together experts from academia, civil society, business, and government for three panel discussions on localizing Just Transition, legal frameworks, and financing. This hybrid seminar fosters interdisciplinary dialogue and contributes to APCEL’s mission of advancing sustainable development and climate justice in Asia—ensuring no one is left behind.
This is a HYBRID Event, you can join in person, or online (via Zoom).
