At the COP26 side event, Climate Change Legislation, Litigation and the Rule of Law, our Director, Jolene Lin, was spoke during the first plenary session on How can legislation and litigation help implement the Paris Agreement – COP26 and beyond. This event was co-organised by the LSE Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment; the University of Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law and Governance; and IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law (WCEL). It brought leading experts together to discuss pertinent issues in climate change law. During her segment, Jolene explained the development of climate change legislation and litigation, particularly in the Global South, and shared her insights on what notable trends should be monitored.
