Stewarding the Low-Carbon Transition For ASEAN +3 held on 27-28 April 2023

APCEL’s Senior Research Fellow, Dr. Linda Yanti Sulistiawati was one of the speakers in the Institute for Environment and Sustainability-Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy’s workshop on 27-28 April 2023. The workshop’s title is “Stewarding the Low-Carbon Transition For ASEAN +3″ with the National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS) Prime Minister’s Office Singapore.

Dr. Sulistiawati spoke about her research on how subnational governments in ASEAN, specifically Indonesia and the Philippines are interpreting their National Determined Contributions (NDCs) in their local regulations.  The event brought together academics, practitioners, and regional policymakers to examine international and regional developments supporting global climate goals. Delegates from Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Singapore contributed to insightful and thoughtful discussion on their national climate policies.
