Mark holds an LL.M. in Environmental Law from Pace University, Elisabeth Haub School of Law (the top-ranked Environmental Law program in the U.S.), and graduated with a Summa Cum Laude in May 2023. He is also an Academic Fellow at the Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (APCEL).

Mark holds an LL.M. in Environmental Law from Pace University, Elisabeth Haub School of Law (the top-ranked Environmental Law program in the U.S.), and graduated with a Summa Cum Laude in May 2023. He is also an Academic Fellow at the Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (APCEL).

He has published in the areas of Sustainability and Directors’ Duties, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Reporting and Private Environmental Governance, and Private Nuisance Law. He is interested in researching the workings of private governance frameworks and approaches, the institutions that promulgate and implement them, and the role that law (domestic, transnational, international, ‘soft’) plays in relation to them, with a particular focus on environmental and social concerns.

Mark received his LL.B. from the National University of Singapore (1st Class Honours) and is admitted to the Singapore Bar. He has practiced law in a leading law firm and as in-house counsel to a financial institution and in the public service.

He teaches Equity and Trusts, and has previously taught the Law of Torts.
