In Residence
Sean is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at APCEL. He holds a Master of Laws in Environmental Law & Policy from University College London (Distinction), at which he was awarded the Francis Taylor Building Prize for Best Overall Mark and the Maxi Alexander Prize for Research (2019-2020). Sean transitioned to his present role having served as the course convenor of the undergraduate course on Environmental Law (2023). He also works as a legal consultant for the international environmental law organisation, ClientEarth.
Sean’s interested areas of research focus on the intersection between climate change and corporate law, and uncovering the legal tools and mechanisms that can drive corporations to greater climate action and accountability. This includes the emerging legal developments in directors’ fiduciary duties, shareholder engagement, and prudential law and regulation. Sean has released several award-winning essays and has undertaken projects for the United Nations Environment Programme.
