The University of Aberdeen is one of the four 'ancient' universities of Scotland and law has been taught since the University's foundation in 1495. The School of Law is one of six Schools of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, within the University. The School aims to provide an educational experience of the highest quality, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. In the Complete University Guide 2015, the Law School is ranked 12th in th the UK out of more than 90 law schools and in the Times Good University Guide 2014, the Law School is ranked 13th. In National Student Satisfaction Surveys (completed by final year students across the UK in relation to their experiences of their university education), law at Aberdeen has consistently scored very highly, with satisfaction rates of over 90%. The School is delighted to welcome students from all over the world, and has long done so for students from throughout Asia, at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
