Mr Karel Reybrouck is a doctoral student and full-time assistant in Constitutional Law at the Leuven Centre for Public Law. He holds a Master of Law degree from KU Leuven (July 2015, magna cum laude). After graduation, Karel spent a year in Jerusalem where he worked as an intern at the Community Action Center of Al-Quds University.

Karel is currently working on a doctoral dissertation on the division of competences in federal systems, with a focus primarily on Belgium and the European Union.

During his studies, Karel was active in student representation, where he was responsible for the expansion of the Peer Assisted Learning project of the Faculty of Law to the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences. He still provides training for PAL tutors and new assistants.
