The Law and Religion (L&R) Speaker Series webinar on “Post-Liberal Religious Liberty” took place yesterday via Zoom. Centred on Dr Joel Harrison’s (University of Sydney) new book entitled “Post-Liberal Religious Liberty – Forming Communities of Charity”, the Panel featured Dr Tan Seow Hon (Singapore Management University) and Dr Daniel Goh (National University of Singapore) who provided insightful comments on the tensions between religion and state. Moderated by Dr Arif Jamal (CALS Deputy Director), the Panel also discussed the tensions between individualism and communitarianism at length.
