CALS Researcher, Toh Ding Jun, has been awarded the INSOL ERA Workshop Outstanding Presentation Award

May 31, 2024

The NUS Law Centre for Asian Legal Studies (CALS) would like to congratulate CALS researcher, Toh Ding Jun ’22, for winning the Outstanding Presentation Prize at the recently concluded INSOL Early Researcher Academics Workshop held in San Diego on 20 May 2024.

Ding Jun presented his working paper titled “The Logic and Limits of (Chinese) Bankruptcy Law” where he showed how the American law and economics understanding of corporate bankruptcy law does not readily apply to the Chinese context, and that more research is needed to understand the kind of legal and non-legal relationships that enter the bankruptcy forum in China.

We congratulate Ding Jun on his remarkable achievement at the workshop, and eagerly await the impact of his future research to the field of corporate bankruptcy law.
