Centre for Asian Legal Studies - Universitas Gadjah Mada Fakultas Hukum Peer Learning Initiative (CAUPLI)

The Centre for Asian Legal Studies (“CALS”) at NUS Law and Universitas Gadjah Mada Fakultas Hukum (“UGM”) are pleased to announce the Centre for Asian Legal Studies - Universitas Gadjah Mada Fakultas Hukum Peer Learning Initiative (“CAUPLI”), a student-led project aimed at encouraging the exchange of knowledge and collaboration between the students of both faculties.

CAUPLI’s inaugural series of sharing sessions, collectively titled “An Introduction to the Basics of Singapore Company Law”, will be conducted in-person at UGM on Saturday, 28 September 2024. A team of NUS Law students will conduct three sharing sessions which aim to introduce Indonesian law students located in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, to the basic principles of company law in Singapore. The initiative serves as a platform to forge cross-cultural friendships and cultivate greater appreciation for doctrinal differences between the laws of the two jurisdictions.
