Description

Virtual Roundtable #21 will be based on the book “Abusive Constitutional Borrowing: Legal globalization and the subversion of liberal democracy” by Rosalind Dixon and David Landau. Esteemed panelists will discuss the book’s illustration of the rise of abusive constitutional practices, its consideration of the role of legitimating ideologies and the book’s exploration of how both borrowing and co-optation of this kind may trade on either explicit or implicit connections or associations to liberal-democratic constitutional models, norms and ideas.
