[CALS] Book Talk: “Negotiating Legality – Chinese Companies in the US Legal System

CALS is pleased to have Professor Ji Li, give a talk based on his book Negotiating Legality: Chinese Companies in the US Legal System  on 30 April 2025.  The event took place at NUS Law Bukit Timah Campus and was moderated by Associate Professor Chen Weitseng.

In his presentation, Professor Ji Li examines how Chinese multinational companies are navigating the challenges of the US legal system amidst intensifying US-China geopolitical tensions. He discussed his observations on these companies’ adaptation strategies which includes building in-house legal capacities, collaborating with US Legal professionals, and managing litigation in American courts.
