[CALS] Comparative Commercial Law Speaker Series: “Global Company Towns”

The Centre for Asian Legal Studies (CALS) hosted a seminar featuring Associate Professor Trang (Mae) Nguyen from Temple University Beasley School of Law, on 20 November 2023. The discussion delved into the concept of “Global Company Towns,” where a single corporation wields influence as an employer, landlord, service provider, and quasi-regulator. The seminar was moderated by Associate Professor Umakanth Varottil, Cluster Coordinator for Comparative Commercial Law at the Centre for Asian Legal Studies (CALS) at NUS Law.
