The CALS Comparative Public Law (CPL) Speaker Series seminar on “The Sri Lankan Crisis: Opportunities for Constitutional and Political Reform?” took place yesterday afternoon with Dr Dian Shah (National University of Singapore) serving as Moderator and Chair. Joined by panellists, Dr Mario Gomez (International Centre for Ethnic Studies), Dr Dinesha Samararatne (University of Colombo), Dr Gehan Gunatilleke (University of Oxford) and Dr Asanga Welikala (University of Edinburgh), the discussion revolved around the current situation unfolding in Sri Lanka, as well as what the future may hold for the nation. Touching on the challenges and opportunities resulting from the current state of matters, the session concluded with a fascinating Q&A session.
