[Virtual Roundtable #15] ‘Thai Legal History’

September 30, 2021 | Impact, Research, School

Today’s Virtual Roundtable #15 on “Thai Legal History” was a fascinating and comprehensive discussion. Based on the book, “Thai Legal History: From Traditional to Modern Law” edited by Andrew Harding and Munin Pongsapan,, the Panel shared thought-provoking insights on how law and society can expand the scope of legal history, the advantages of keeping a wide purview when approaching Thailand’s legal history, the contribution that young scholars can make to the field, and how ‘transplantation’ influence the modern Thai legal system.
