Justice Amy C. Lazaro-Javier became the 182nd Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines upon her appointment on 7 March 2019. She is currently the Chairperson of the Committee on Family Courts and Juvenile Concerns; Co-Chairperson of the Council of ASEAN Chief Justices Working Group on Cross-Border Disputes Involving Children; President of the Philippine Women Judges Association; and Vice-President of the International Association of Women Judges. She likewise chairs the Sub-Committee on the Revision of the Code of Professional Responsibility and serves as Vice-Chairperson of the Committee on Environment and Sustainability. She previously chaired the Committee on Gender Responsiveness in the Judiciary (2021–2022), and was the Chairperson of the 2025 Philippine Bar Examinations.

She is currently the Chairperson of the Committee on Family Courts and Juvenile Concerns; Co-Chairperson of the Council of ASEAN Chief Justices Working Group on Cross-Border Disputes Involving Children; President of the Philippine Women Judges Association; and Vice-President of the International Association of Women Judges. Before joining the Supreme Court, she served as Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals from 2007 to 2019. Earlier, she spent over two decades at the Office of the Solicitor General, rising from Trial Attorney to Assistant Solicitor General, a position she held for fourteen years.

Justice Lazaro-Javier graduated magna cum laude and class valedictorian from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Education (magna cum laude) from Philippine Normal College and previously taught in several Manila public high schools.

Her honors include the Ulirang Ina Award, the UST Distinguished Thomasian Alumni Award (2019), the Outstanding Thomasian Alumni (TOTAL) Award (2024), and the 2025 Inquirer Women of Power Award.
