Philip Nedelcu is a PhD student at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich under the supervision of Professor Dr. Christian Walter. His research deals with abuse of power under the European Convention on Human Rights. Further research interests include German Constitutional law, EU law and the international law of treaties. Besides being a PhD student, He works as a research and teaching assistant at the Chair of Public International Law and Public Law at LMU, held by Professor Walter. In this capacity, he has taught introductory classes on international law, on human rights, and on German administrative law.

Before starting his PhD, he studied law at LMU Munich and Seoul National University with a focus on European and International Public Law. During his studies at LMU, he participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court in 2015 and coached LMU’s team the year after.
