Research Project

A study of the digitalisation of court proceedings and practices

The project aims to investigate how courts adapt to digitalization and emerging technologies. Firstly, it seeks to explore the extent to which courts and judges utilise data collected through court proceedings for case management and improvement of practices. Secondly, it aims to assess the changes in litigation practices following the implementation of digital services, particularly E-Platforms, and identify any challenges encountered during the implementation and how they were addressed. Lastly, the project will investigate the impact of generative AI on litigation and legal practices, including current and potential future use, as well as the perspectives of judges, lawyers, and academics on its influence.
