Ding Jun is a Research Assistant at the NUS Law Centre for Asian Legal Studies. He has a research interest in corporate insolvency law and Asian legal studies.
Ding Jun graduated from NUS with an LLB in 2022 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2023. He led the first NUS student team for the CALS-Thammasat University Faculty of Law Peer Learning Initiative (CATPLI) in 2021, a student-led initiative provides a platform for NUS Law students to learn about the legal principles in civil law jurisdictions through their peers in those jurisdictions. He subsequently served as CATPLI’s Project Advisor and oversaw the setting up of its sister project in 2023, the CALS-Universitas Gadjah Mada Peer Learning Initiative (CAUPLI).
Ding Jun was awarded the Outstanding Presentation Prize at the INSOL Early Researcher Academics Workshop held in San Diego, for his paper entitled ‘The Logic and Limits of (Chinese) Bankruptcy Law’. He was also a Visiting Lecturer at Thammasat University Faculty of Law to convene a summer intensive course titled ‘LB169 Introduction to Singapore Law’ which sought to introduce Thai law students to various aspects of Singaporean commercial law.
