Yuan Yang graduated from NUS with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2025. During her time at NUS, she contributed to the organisation of the CALS–Thammasat University Faculty of Law Peer Learning Initiative (CATPLI) and the CALS–Universitas Gadjah Mada Peer Learning Initiative (CAUPLI). CATPLI and CAUPLI are student-led initiatives providing a platform for NUS Law students to learn about the legal principles in civil law jurisdictions through their peers in those jurisdictions. She also served as the translator for Prof Li Shuguang’s lecture on New Developments in China’s Enterprise Bankruptcy Law (Draft Revision) during the Restructuring & Insolvency Academic Forum (RIAF) 2025. CALS was a joint organiser of RIAF 2025.
Yuan Yang is interested in comparative law research opportunities involving Chinese law and Singapore law. As a current trainee in the banking & finance practice area, she is keen to deepen her exposure to both theoretical and practical perspectives in banking & finance law in a cross border manner.
