Shazny is currently a Research Assistant with the Centre for Asian Legal Studies, NUS Law. He will also be serving as an Associate Editor for the Asian Journal of Comparative Law. His research interests include comparative environmental governance, constitutional and administrative law, and the philosophical, historical, and cultural study of law. He also has academic interests in moral philosophy, environmental philosophy, philosophy of race, and postcolonial theory.

He graduated with an LL.B. from NUS Law in 2018, and held editorial and research positions during law school. He is also co-author of a forthcoming chapter on Indonesian environmental law in the upcoming edition of Comparative Environmental Law and Regulation (Thomson Reuters, 2018).
