Description
This two-day conference will examine significant legal and policy issues and practical problems arising from the growing use and availability of technology in the banking and finance industry. The keynote address will be given by Sir Geoffrey Vos, Chancellor of the High Court of England and Wales, who will speak on ‘The Brave New World of On-Chain Finance and Dispute Resolution’. Conference presenters consist of academics and practitioners from around the world including Singapore, China, Canada, Europe, Israel and the United Kingdom. Paper presentations converge around a number of themes, mainly financial regulation, consumer protection and cryptocurrencies. Specific topics include stablecoins, central bank issued cryptocurrencies, open banking, digital payment risks, crisis resolution and secured lending.
