📖 Workshop 1: The Art of Storytelling: Stories have the power to captivate, persuade, and inspire change. Drawing from proven techniques used by seasoned actors, this workshop is specially crafted for students preparing to excel in interviews and launch professional careers. Join us to learn how to:

✔ Communicate authentically with clarity and confidence at interviews and in networking situations
✔ Leave a lasting impact

🎭 Workshop 2: The Art of Improvisation: Success in any career depends on working effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. You will need to navigate unexpected challenges — shifting priorities, tough questions, or new environments.

This interactive workshop will hone your ability to:

✔ Think on your feet and stay composed in unpredictable situations

About the Trainers

Molly Bird

Molly Bird is a dynamic and accomplished professional with over a decade of experience spanning the realms of theatre, education, and corporate training. Currently serving as Project Manager at Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Centre for Creative Learning (CCL), Molly leverages her diverse skill set to develop and implement impactful learning programs. Her expertise encompasses acting, directing, and curriculum design, enabling her to create engaging and transformative experiences for a wide range of audiences, from young children to senior corporate leaders. With a proven track record in speech & drama, musical theatre, devising, role-play, storytelling, and improvisation, Molly excels at facilitating both group and individual coaching sessions. Her international experience includes leading creative projects in China, where she co-wrote, produced, and directed innovative children’s Shakespeare productions. Renowned for fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments, Molly is a passionate advocate for the application of theatrical principles to enhance communication, collaboration, and leadership skills across various professional settings.

 

Yap Yi Kai

In her 13 years as an actor and educator, Yi Kai has performed in seven languages on stage and screen with companies including WILD RICE, Checkpoint Theatre, Buds Theatre Company and Mediacorp. She has facilitated classes and workshops in corporate training, speech & drama, public speaking, and storytelling. She is a London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art instructor in international schools with Koh&Waite, and runs MoOnbeamsTheatre, an inclusive theatre programme under ACT 3 Theatrics, with whom she has taught at both mainstream and special education schools. She is also a Wolf Trap teaching artist with SRT, coaching preschool teachers in integrating the arts into the classroom.

 

Rachel Nip

Rachel Nip is a performer, choreographer and puppeteer in Singapore. Her independent work in theatre and dance takes collaboration and advocacy as key values. She is SRT’s Resident Teaching Artist and has taught theatre and musical theatre programmes in various preschools, private and public schools as well as tertiary institutions.
Programmes taught include SRT’s The Gift of Theatre (preschool), Dramatic Language (primary), Out Loud Literacy (primary) and Shakespeare Comes Alive (secondary/tertiary).
Her SPED experience includes having completed Joe England’s Autism and Drama workshop as well as SRT’s Accelerate Access programme. She is a frequent guest artist with the Inclusive Young Company and has completed 16-week programmes in both Rainbow Centre and St. Andrew’s Autism School.

IMPORTANT NOTE –

  1. Each workshop is limited to the first 30 students.
  2. *Lunch will be provided for students who have signed up for either Workshop 1: The Art of Storytelling or both workshops.
  3. Confirmed attendance numbers are important to ensure we can continue to attract quality trainers. CFG@Law staff and trainers make extensive preparations for workshops. Please show respect for their time and effort. Many workshops have limited capacity – do not deprive another student of a chance to attend.
  4. Fees of $50/participant is fully subsidized. Please note that any student who defaults on attendance without a valid reason after registration will have to bear the cost of the workshop personally.
