Rajesh Sreenivasan is a Partner and Head of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Law Practice at Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP and the Lead Partner for the firms’ multidisciplinary and cross-practice Data and Digital Economy (DDE) Legal Services. He is a Director and Co-founder of Rajah &Tann Technologies Pte Ltd and Rajah & Tann Cybersecurity Pte Ltd which are the Legaltech arms of Rajah & Tann Asia. With over 20 years of practice, he has been universally recognised as the leading technology, media and telecoms lawyer in Singapore by all major professional ranking agencies in2021 and one of the top TMT lawyers the Asia Pacific region. Rajesh has been at the forefront of legal, regulatory and policy matters relating to technology procurement, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data protection, analytics and governance, telecommunications, electronic commerce, cloud computing, digital forensics and digital media in the region. Rajesh also plays a significant role in leading legal sector transformation and innovation initiatives culminating in his work on the exco of Lupl, the world’s first open platform for legal services and guiding Lupl in collaborating with MinLaw, Singapore in powering the Legal Technology Platform (LTP), one of the key initiatives in MinLaw’s Technology and Innovation Roadmap for the legal sector.

Rajesh has been working together with R&T’s Financial Regulatory practice addressing the burgeoning area of FinTech in legal and regulatory works panning across Initial Coin Offerings to Virtual currency regulatory issues. E serves on the AI Tech committee of the Singapore Standards Council and on the Board of Experts of the SMU National Centre for AI and Data Governance. On the corporate front, he sits on the Board of MediaCorp, Singapore’s national broadcaster. Internationally, he sits on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Legal Innovation, College of Law, Australia. On a pro-bono basis, he serves on the Board of Trustees of the Sree Narayana Mission and as a member of the School Management Committee of Montfort Schools.

Joey Pang Keep Ying
Senior Vice President (Legal & Compliance), DBS Bank

Joey is a technology lawyer and legal technologist with DBS Bank. In his day to day work, Joey spends his time between three broad areas vis., (i) legal, regulatory advisory and transaction work on the bank’s derivatives business, AML issues, technology projects and procurement, (ii) advocacy efforts on regulatory issues relating to emergent technology such as data innovation, data ethics and AI governance, and (iii) transformation projects within the bank that brings about new capabilities and ways of working for legal and compliance functions.

Beyond DBS, Joey is a vice-chair of the Cybersecurity and Data Protection Committee and sits on the Information Technology Committee of the Law Society of Singapore. In addition, he also sits on the Expert Panel of SMU’s Centre for AI and Data Governance, the AI Ethics and Certification Committee of the Singapore Computer Society, and the leadership team at Asia DPO. Joey is a Chevening Scholar and has a LLM from LSE, and a JD and BSc(Economics) from SMU.

Jewel Bosok Seo
Associate, TMT Practice, Rajah & Tann Singapore

Jewel is a Korean-Canadian expatriate who graduated from the Juris Doctor program at Singapore Management University in 2020 and was admitted to the Bar in 2021.

Prior to and during her law degree, she was part of Airbnb’s in-house legal team. Before joining Airbnb, she pursued an Art History degree at McGill University in Montreal and worked in an art gallery in Toronto.

Since joining the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications team at Rajah &Tann, she is actively involved in matters relating to technology, data protection, intellectual property, outsourcing, and cybersecurity.

  • Subway Lunchbox will be provided to students who registered and turn up for the in-person event. Due to Safe Management Measures, there is strictly no consumption of food allowed in the Seminar Room. Students may collect their lunchbox after the event has ended.
