Description
Synopsis
There’s perhaps no place more interesting to be a lawyer than in the tech industry – you often “make the road by walking” in uncharted legal territory and have a front row seat in shaping laws that impact the tech industry – including privacy, security, speech, commerce, sharing economy, fintech, employment, competition.
But how do you get a legal job in tech? What are the career paths that have led to successfully landing a job as a tech lawyer? What do tech companies look for in potential candidates? And what is it being a tech lawyer like?
The answers to these and more can be found through the APAC Tech Legal Externship, a program designed for final-year law students, trainee lawyers, and lawyers in their first or second year of practice based in Singapore, who are interested in connecting with mentors who are currently practicing as in-house tech lawyers.
Come and hear from the founders and organizers of the APAC Tech Legal Externship. The event will consist of a small panel discussion on life as an in-house lawyer in the tech sector, followed by an introduction to and sharing about the 2025 edition of the APAC Tech Legal Externship. There will also be plenty of time for Q&A.
