The internship vacancies can be posted directly on the campus-wide online job portal, <b><a href=\"https:\/\/nus-csm.symplicity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NUS TalentConnect<\/a><\/b><b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Register for an NUS TalentConnect account <a href=\"https:\/\/nus-csm.symplicity.com\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please see here for the <a href=\"https:\/\/nus.edu.sg\/cfg\/docs\/default-source\/default-document-library\/internship-guidelines-for-employers.pdf?sfvrsn=5a8579b4_6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Internship Guidelines for Employers<\/a>. Additional information can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/nus.edu.sg\/cfg\/employers\/internships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Vacation Periods<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The vacation periods in NUS are as follows:<\/p>\n<table border=\"1\" width=\"490\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"31\">\u00bb<\/td>\n<td><b>Semester 1\/Winter Vacation: Early December to mid-January (5 weeks)<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"31\">\u00bb<\/td>\n<td><b>Semester 2\/Summer Vacation: Mid-May to end July (12 weeks)<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>Please refer to the\u00a0<b><a href=\"https:\/\/nus.edu.sg\/registrar\/calendar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Academic Calendar<\/a><\/b>\u00a0for specific dates as the dates may vary each year.<\/p>\n<p><b>Internship for International students<\/b><\/p>\n<p>International students are allowed to work\u00a0<u>no more than 16 hours per week during term time\u00a0<\/u>and\u00a0<u>full-time during NUS vacation periods<\/u>.\u00a0More information can be found on the Ministry of Manpower website\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mom.gov.sg\/passes-and-permits\/work-pass-exemption-for-foreign-students\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<b><br \/>\nEthics &amp; Personal Safety:<br \/>\n<\/b>Students who encounter aggression, discrimination, harassment, or other unethical behavior during their internships are encouraged to contact\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/law.nus.edu.sg\/cfglaw\/people.html\">Career Advisory Services<\/a>\u00a0for assistance.\n<p><b>Insurance<\/b><\/p>\n<b>Internships in Singapore<\/b><br \/>\nStudents are covered against personal or bodily injuries caused by or arising out of accidents through a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nus.edu.sg\/uhc\/docs\/default-source\/insurance\/nus_factsheet_gpa_01112022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme<\/a>\u00a0arranged by NUS. However, employers may wish to cover the intern under their organisation&#8217;s insurance schemes such as medical or workmen&#8217;s compensation.\n<b>Overseas internships<\/b><br \/>\nFor overseas internships, students and employers are responsible to check on the visa and permit requirements for the host country and relevant immigration authorities in compliance with immigration regulations. As the NUS insurance scheme for students only applies to coverage within Singapore, please check with the employer on the provision of travel insurance.
