Valerio graduated with a Master’s degree in Law (Dottore Magistrale in Giurisprudenza) at the Università degli Studi di Torino (Italy). Concurrently, he undertook studies on Maritime Law and the Law of the Sea in an LLM, awarded with distinction in Comparative Law, Economics and Finance at the International University College of Turin – Università degli Studi di Torino (Italy). During his LLM studies, he took part in an exchange program at the OP Jindal Global Law School (India). Subsequently, Valerio obtained an MSc by thesis, at the same institution. Following graduation, Valerio served in the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea (DOALOS), Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) of the United Nations in New York and was engaged in various projects related to the work of the IMO and international navigation.
