“Life as a Maritime lawyer – circumnavigating the world (legally speaking)”

The focus of the talk will be on the international nature of Mr Leon’s practice. He will explain on his own career path and how his practice is now advising natural resources, trading and energy companies solely (and emphasise the companies based in Singapore and consequent opportunities). He will run through a few cases and examples of how they are at the cutting edge of the law. He will then look to the future and explain how they are doing exciting things as the world rapidly changes.

CML Port Side is an initiative to provide opportunities for students and young alumni members to engage with the local maritime law community and, by doing so, increase the visibility of the career opportunities that this industry has to offer.
