Description
The presentation features a fictional incident occurring on board a container vessel in the Malacca Straits. The vessel with burning containers trapped in the cargo hold comes into a Singapore port for discharge of the containers and investigation of the incident. How is the matter handled? This seminar will share insights on casualty management, investigation, operation matters and claims. It will explore the many issues that arises when a fire casualty occurs and the role undertaken by the shipowner’s lawyers as well as P & I Correspondents, who work handin-hand with various experts to protect the insured’s (in this case, the shipowner) interests. Three industry speakers will share their experiences providing an overview of those involved from a legal, technical and insurance perspective.
