Ali obtained his Masters in Law from the University of Bergen in 2013 and, at the same time, obtained his LLM in Maritime Law from the National University of Singapore. Prior to joining Schjødt, he worked as a shipbroker trainee at R.S. Platou (Asia) in Singapore and worked at Advokatfirmaet Kluge as an Associate.
While at Kluge Ali worked in the Energy group mainly with M&A and Corporate Law (Stavanger) within the oil and gas market, Petroleum Law, Contract Law and litigation. In Schjødt Ali is part of Schjødt’s Banking & Finance group where he is focused on ship finance and transactions within and outside the shipping industry, in addition to continuing his work with Corporate and Contract Law.
