It provides the only platform for research and teaching in maritime law and training for the commercial maritime community in Singapore. CML&#8217;s commercial maritime law focus provides a platform for research on wide-ranging legal issues, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carriage of goods by sea and charterparties<\/li>\n<li>Admiralty law and practice<\/li>\n<li>Ship finance<\/li>\n<li>Maritime arbitration<\/li>\n<li>Salvage, towage, and pilotage<\/li>\n<li>Ship sale and purchase<\/li>\n<li>International sales\/commodities<\/li>\n<li>Trade finance<\/li>\n<li>Oil and gas law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CML&#8217;s work includes research and writing in its focus areas through colloquia, seminars, and other academic endeavours, including a database, <em>Judicial Decisions on International Conventions<\/em>, which is produced in collaboration with the Comit\u00e9 Maritime International (CMI), and the Working Paper Series.
