What are Law Clinic elective courses, and how are they different from internships?

Law Clinic elective courses are structured, credit-bearing modules that give students the opportunity to work on real cases and engage directly with clients. What sets them apart from traditional internships is the strong emphasis on guided learning-students are mentored and guided by experienced legal practitioners, enabling a more well-rounded and reflective learning experience. Unlike shorter internships, these courses run over an extended period, allowing students to gain deeper insight into legal practice and develop a broader range of essential professional skills and legal knowledge.

2. What types of law clinics are available?

Clinics typically include litigation, corporate and sometimes, research and advocacy clinics. Who are the clients/partner organisations in the law clinics?

Clients include the public, especially underserved or vulnerable groups.
